"Safer" Rally Date Changed to
Mother's Day 2004

By Maria Heil,
Contributing Editor

The Second Amendment Freedoms for Everyone Rally (SAFER) will now be held on Sunday May 9th, (which is Mother's Day) in Washington, DC.

The plans are being worked on at a feverish pace, but we need volunteers!

As early as October we were getting inquiries on our phone lines and through the mail about people organizing busses. By the time you read this, we should be up and running with a page on our website www.2asisters.org with information from local bus organizers. Remember, this is a grassroots effort, which means we need your help! There will be a "How to organize a bus" page on the website as well, for those of you who have never done it before. Remember, you don't have to make an investment to get a bus, you just have to organize it! So, please get started today, before all the good busses are gone!

Also by the time you read this there should be an area on our website with information regarding hotels. We will have blocks of rooms set aside, but there will be a cut-off date for the special rates.

Get the Word Out
Please, spread the word about our rally by attending gun club meetings and gun shows. We will have download-able flyers that you can print up and distribute. Don't forget to stop in the gun shops and ask to put a stack of flyers there as well!
Remember, SAS is a grassroots organization, and that means that we need the grassroots people to mobilize in our effort to make this rally a success. This is where everyone can get involved in one way or another. Don't be shy, there is something you can do, just start by volunteering! Thank you, and I look forward to meeting you in Washington, D.C.
