More Pink:
This Time A Whole Company's Worth

By Peggy Tartaro,

Is pink the new black when it comes to women's firearms accessories? More and more companies have been offering products with rosy hues-everything from parkas to handcuffs-and from range bags to stun guns. Many of the companies offering the pink option are also donating a portion of the sales of these products to breast cancer charities. The companies "in the pink" range from established names in the firearms and accessory business to start-ups who debuted at the Shooting Hunting and Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show in January.

Contributing Editor Diane Walls spotlighted nearly a dozen pink products from her first trip to SHOT this year in our March-April issue and Contributing Editor Sheila Link has featured a pink product in nearly every Gear & Gadget column this year.

We recently received a press release from a Canadian company doing business on-line as Packing in Pink (PIP).

The company is also supplying its products to brick-and-mortar retailers in Ontario. Additionally, PIP has been sponsoring ladies' nights at a local gun club in the province.

"Our products are designed by and for women-and only women. Safety is always priority number one, but unlike other manufacturers, sex appeal and comfort are a very close second. Because of our devotion to women, PIP will make a donation to breast cancer research with every purchase," says the website: packinginpink.com

Offered by the company are trigger locks, ear muffs, cable locks, shooting glasses and a variety of clothing, including hats-and yes, they are all in pink.

On-line shopping for the products is easy using PayPal, and prices are calculated in US dollars.

Packing in Pink, a web-based company for women shooters, offers products like the hat, ear muffs, glasses and hoodie shown.

A pink trigger lock is offered by PIP, who also sell a pink cable lock.
